Differential service
Luckily my dealer only charged me $110 or something so I didnt push hard on it. But really, its a ridiculous request, it's clearly not free.

My car needs it's LSD changed when my beast wakes from hibernation.
Yes, my car has a "real" LSD I paid for the option.
Question: what are the part numbers for the new plugs/bolts and is the Castrol oil the only one they should use?
I just want to order the correct parts from the dealer before the service.
I do not want the old plugs used; I mentioned to a service manager in conversation that my car will need it's LSD oil change and asked him if the plugs are stocked and he said, "no we just reuse the old ones"

I'm not going to that dealer for service and was considering using the only Amg Performance Studio dealer in my neck of the woods--I'm hoping they'll be receptive to my very modest demands

Any help from the experts?
EDIT:
I think I found out my own answers by using Google, I tried search on here too, but to no avail.
Is this correct (I knew about the oil, but is this the proper plug too?)
One 500 ml. bottle of Castrol SAF-XJ (MB Part. No. A 001 989 52 03 10)
One differential drain/fill plug (MB Part. No. A 001 990 23 17)

You will need 3 bottles of gear lube as the diff takes 1.2L, maybe a little bit more. I reused the existing drain and fill plugs as I see no reason to change them but it can't hurt.
Roswell
My service manual only seems to recommend it for the AMG Performance Package at 60000k or 2 years after the 3000k change. Not sure what they recommend for the open diff. It would not hurt to change it at 60000k with Fuchs Titan EG 5010 D.
I would love to do this service myself, but I don't have access to a lift.

I try to bring my cars to the stealers as least as possible since they usually could care less about doing a good job.

I know what you mean about the dealer and I take mine in only for warranty or an operation I cannot do myself because of tool requirements or experience. I do maintain a good working relationship with everyone at the dealership for that reason. Around here we only have one dealer in the whole province so if it works it is OK if not you are SOL. Think twice act once...LOL
Hope you have better luck at the AMG Performance Studio dealer. They will surely take your requests more seriously and be better informed and trained on the AMG product.
