Quick tech question

Hey guys,

Looks like I have a nail in one of my tires...causing a slow leak, which sucks. Im super pissed...Im hoping they can plug it. Any issues with pluggin it? I dont want to put out the cash for a new pzero...since it's a crappy tire to start with.

Lastly, what is the torque spec for the lugs? Thanks again!

I think you'll want them to patch the tire from the inside which will require it being taken off the wheel obviously.

This assumes the nail isn't too close to the sidewall. If you drove on the tire when it was really low you could have damaged the sidewall. You might have to replace it then.

Also, if you are planning on driving your car over 100 you probably ought to just replace the tire.

Don't know about the torque specs.

Flat tires are a pain in the *** for sure.

I would strongly suggest you replace the tire, not repair it. A repaired tire no longer is considered speed rated and if you are driving an AMG I'm sure you are driving fast.

I look at it this way... My safety is more than worth the cost of a new tire, even if it means buying a pair for the given axle. Just my $.02

I replaced my last flat tire (different car but Z-rated tire). I tend to agree with you on the safety issue given the higher pressures and loads on our tires.
