Headers + xpipe question
Does the x-pipe yield a power increase or is it more for sound only? I would expect that the headers should yield a noticeable improvement in throttle response in addition to providing some hp and tq gains. I'm looking for my next mod and would like to hear what some who have gone this route already think.
As I see it, we have 3 choice right now. Renntech shorty at $4995, Kleemann header w/downpipe and hi flow cats $3995 and VRP shory at $2395.
The Kleeman looks to be the same design as stock, just larger diameter and then much better flowing cats.
The VRP seems to be individual tubes, just in a shorty config and not equal length. Does this design remove the neckdown that is in the factory manifold?
The Renntech seems a bit too pricey for a shorty, but it appears to be a similar design to the VRP with individual tubes, albeit not equal length.
If you have headers on your C63 can you let me know which ones and what you think of them?
Thanks,
Mike

I have a magnaflow x-pipe..sound is great..Do I notice any power increase? Not enough to tell the difference between the stock 450hp...and 5 more.
