Check engine light came on - car is unstable

i'm happy to hear that it can be fixed. Do you think this happened because of spirited driving or would this have happened if Granny had your car that day? Just curious.

good thing they told me it was all covered under warranty
and i'm curious too... was it the driving... or was it just faulty and it was bound to happen to anyone driving... but come on.. it's an AMG

If it runs I'll drive it
The chances of any sensors being faulty may be somewhere between 10-27% maybe even higher... luckily yours went out around under warranty. Can you imagine those who have exceeded their warranty?? And I'm not just talking about Mercedes parts here... I'm talking about all electronics for automobiles.
Does sensor(s) go through QC scan like computer chips do?? Probably not. Just another awareness for consumers like me out there.
The part isn't that expensive... its the LABOR that makes you feel like you're paying with your arm and leg.

Keep close updates on your service. Because it'll get more costly as the vehicle gets older-due to wear and tear. Sucks that MBZ doesn't have the maintenance/brakes covered under its warranty belt like BMW and whatnot... but hey that's how people make money. By giving labor we don't want to deal with we pay for it.
