Could the C63 be a victim of its own success?

Just a few minutes ago I was on the streets of NY, I had seen a car almost identical to mine Black with bumps on the hood and at a glance I noticed the side AMG 63 emblem ... I actually ran up to it from the rear and guess what while it was driving away? To my surprise it was a E63 AMG lol, I thought I had seen my first NY C63 but Not yet... Talk about twins, wow it almost looked identical to mine tint and all.
E63 doesn't have the "power dome" bulges in the hood, either...

I'm just thinking out loud here, but lately, I've started to notice more and more C63s on the road. I don't particularly pay attention to who's driving, how old the driver looks, or what ethnicity they are. None of that is really important. But what might be more important is the fact that they are becoming increasingly prevalent on the roads we drive on.
Is it a possibility, however remote, that the C63 might just be a little *too* popular? Is the fact that they've priced the car so attractively, thereby hitting the proverbial homerun in terms of sales, quite possibly a negative in the long run?
I saw a reply to something I said on another thread where the C63 was likened to the "new M3", and it scares me a little bit when I think about that.
Of course, it's great for Mercedes Benz. The company has always wanted to wrest the title away from BMW for having the best-selling high-performance sports sedan. If I recall, the M3 has traditionally sold in greater volume than all AMG models combined. Well, this time round, MB may have just outdone themselves with this AMG C-class.
But what price success, eh? What are the chances that the image of the AMG brand is permanently damaged by the sheer popularity of the C63 that it's no longer perceived as being unique, exclusive, and rare enough to warrant its special place in the hearts of its clientele?
Anyway, food for thought, I guess...

I live in Houston and have only seen 4 C63's since August. Not too common here and have actually seen just as many IS-F's (who would buy that?) and way more M3's. I like the idea on the prestige of it being rare however the more people that buy them the better the resale value as with the M3. Also, to the guy that said he's mostly seen women driving M3's and S4's. I only see guys driving the high performance cars except for Porsche's. He must be attending lots of women's softball games...lol.

Oh, and guess what, folks.
As I left my office today, I found a Mars Red C63 in my building's parkade. The driver was just getting into his car at the time, and so I said to him, "nice car!"
He replied, "yeah, I've seen and heard your car these last couple of months, and I couldn't resist, I had to get one too!"
Great, just great.

09 C63 steel grey
That reminds me of the time a few months after I picked up my C63 and took the wife out to a fancy club (fancy for me anyway) around Knox-Henderson and I thought I was going to get a front and center spot with the valet. I pull up and there's like an SL63, some sort of Lambo, and a Bentley lined up in front already. No love for the C63 that night.

I don't even live in Vancouver, but as an Asian, I'm STILL wondering WTF is up with so many Asians liking Canada?
Let's review:
You couldn't get citizenship in the USA, so you settled for Canada?
I'm disappointed in my fellow Asian's. Socialist healthcare is just a no-no.
If that happened to me, I would've just stayed in Taiwan.

But then again, not everybody goes to Canada because they couldn't go to the US. Most of the immigrants who come to the Great White North come here under the "family reunion" rule, which means they're just joining up with family members who have already become Canadian citizens. And I guess there is a (mistaken) perception that Canada is a safer place to live than the US is.

Is the "family reunion rule" enacted just as '97 was approaching in HK? I always thought it was just easier going to Canada as '97 was approaching vs getting into the US. If I remember correctly, in the 80's and 90's, they let many Taiwanese into the US if they made a "business invenstment" in the US. For a long time, it was mainly us Cantonese, then the Taiwanese started coming to SoCal in great numbers in the early 80s.
Sorry to go off-topic.

don't they offer the amg packaged, which includes all the c63 exterior , AMG badge and wheels for the c350?.
Maybe your just seeing c350 or c300 with the amg package. I remmeber i thought i saw a c63 on the road once since it had the body style and the amg badge until i drove closer and saw the c350 badge later.

'08 C63 AMG (turned in for lease)
I live in Los Angeles and i have seen quite a few c63's, somewhere around 10-15 (possibly more). I had the C55 and the thing that I liked about it was how rare it was. I saw maybe 7-8 of them in 3 years. Obviously the C63 is a wayyy better car, that goes without saying, but when you think you have a rare car and you start seeing quite a few of them I think it's actually rather sad.

As I've said before, I live and work in the heart of NYC and the only cars I've come across have been many C300 C350's, I'm guessing lease ... I did see last summer a 2008 C63 but it had Florida plates... and one NY in the Hampton bays LI but thats it!!! I have seen other high end cars, Italians along with ZR1 Z06 911... I guess I won't be doing any waving anytime soon but that could be a good thing for me.

I live in Queens and I have seen a few C63'z. I have 2 of them just in my neighborhood alone. I have bumped into them on the BQE, NJ RT 80, and maybe 3-4 in Staten island. I think I have seen maybe 2 C55's in my LIFE but the C63 is definetly popular and I agree that they are popping up alot lately.
