Power steering pump
So today at Eagles Canyon (TX) there was a Kleemann tuned C63 (owner not on MBWorld) that encountered a power steering pump leak. This was during his second session and it cut his track day in half. He left early rather than chance hemorrhaging oil on the track or having a full failure on the way home.
The owner claimed it was his 2nd pump problem and was a widely known weakness on the C63.
I follow the 63 boards and I'm not aware of the ps pump problem.
Did I miss something?

power steering does suck on this car
This is my first post.
I got my C63 in Fayetteville, NC in December. Within in 2 weeks the power steering failed (@900 miles 100 from breakin). But MB had my dealer replace the steering rack power steering and other items even though it was believed only to be the power steering.
Upon further research i found most reviews for the C300, C350, C63 all complain about the budget power steering parts.
The Dealer gave me a 2008 Porsche Cayman S to drive for the week while the car was being fixed (1 week). the service was great (thanks Mercedes Benz of Fayetteville).
Don't worry if it happens MBUSA will take care of you. Have no fear with the power of Fourms, Twitter and Smart Mobile Phones even if MB tried to act shady the power of the consumer will rise!
