Leather Package - WOW!!

I just cleaned/conditioned my black leather interior using Maguier's Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. I have to say that the quality of nappa leather that Mercedes & AMG have used for this package is really nice. I had a '97 BMW M3 with upgraded nappa leather, and I thought that it was nice, but this leather is so soft, pliable and absorbs the lotion just right. It is not too thick, which may shorten the durability of it, but the quality is so nice that I do not think it will matter. The look after the conditioner is just super. I did all the seat surfaces as well as the door panels. I plan on doing this at least once a year. Anyone plan on doing it more often, less often? Probably a little overboard with this post, but I like the interior, a lot.

That is a good question. I did it because the weather is nice and it never can hurt. I will say that other cars with leather interiors have had some sort of protective treatment that lasted a while before conditioning was necessary. I'm not 100% sure, but the C63's leather does not seem to have this treatment.

.
I'd say where you live dictates how often it should be done. Out here in the desert, probably more often.

I added the Leather treatment Pkg from MB on delivery and used Lexol conditioner the next day. I have gotten into the habit of wiping down the leather and treating with Lexol about once a month. Seats are like Butta Baby....Butta. Blue Jean Indigo dye just wipes off with a damp cloth (Sahara Beige)

Here is the tip sheet from the Lexol site: http://www.lexol.com/auto.html
