ive seen that orange gtr down the street from my house in manila the other day.
(i just got back to manila a few days ago)
man, i miss my ride. i wish i could travel with it. there are some good roads to have a nice spirited ride out here. the best thing is that u dont have to worry about the damn cops. traffic was very light this past weekend, which was very nice!
My best memory was when I was in high school back in the Philippines and I was hanging out at McDonald's at Green Hills late at night and a friggin Ferrari F50 decides to show up. The Ferrari Flagship car of that time was in front of my eyes!!!
My jaw literally dropped and said WTF is a Ferrari F50 doing here in Manila? Since then I heard that that guy (i forgot his name) also had a McLaren F1... this was circa 1995-ish btw.
Edit: It was Jack Enrile

It was great!! Atmosphere was literally like a soccer match with the Hatton fans, but they were quickly silenced. I tried my best to out shout them, lost my voice, didn't make a dent.
It's hard for me to think of where you can really drive those cars in Manila (I tool around in a A-class MB and that is perfect for Manila traffic)...I can only think of maybe the expressways (NLE or SLE). I know that some parts of NLE toward Angeles/San Fernando (where my Dad is from) are relatively smooth area to drive fast...
The C63 or 55 car in the PI is an expensive proposition considering the tariff on imports. I can only imagine the arm and the leg the exotics are or how many people you had to bribe to get them in the PI.
PS I love driving in Manila...the only rule is there is no rules and if a cop tries to wave you to stop you keep going...

And, back to the topic at hand, manilamerc nice ride you have there. Hope I get to see it when I go back to Manila next year. Not sure if I have actually seen an AMG in PI, but I think I saw a CLS 63 on the road to Tagaytay. It could have been a 550, but I am reasonably sure it was a 63.
