I hate to break it to you, but I dont think going to the sand hills is happening anytime soon. Not in your lifetime at least. I am in Dubai at the moment, and things are going extremely well. As a matter of fact, none of their ongoing projects were delayed or stopped. Their policy is not to stop or cancel any project, but if worse comes to worst, the project can be downsized and will be supported financially by the government. All the haters talk about Dubai as if it was the only city that got affected by the financial crisis. At least, they didn't declare recession like UK, Japan, and US.
