17 screws only. tape is pointless.

OUCH, 17? Isn't it a little excessive especially if owners ever remove the lip to see 17 holes on the bumper, perhaps not visible unless you look close?

No, it most definitely is not. This is how we attach out entire product line, not just this part. Also, you wont see the holes much besides 2 of them unless you look under the car.
