*AMG C63 AFTER TUNE

We have been doing alot of AMG C63'S lately,we had one today that drew my attention over the others, firstly it had 16000km's more then the others and it stock form it made alot more then the others 271rwkw/363hp,even driving it i knew it had more as you could literally feel it,after the powerchip tune it made a best of 312rwkw/418hpwith a consitent 310rwkw,on the road it was incredibly fast to the point it would put alot of modified cars to shame.I,d say the more km's you put on these engine the better they get. With the price tag of 160k,these little pocket rockets are good value for money ! i have attached the links below of the dyno runs starting from stock to tuned,we are yet to fit some k&n filters as theres no stock in aus,i have 10 on back order..we have a 996 porshe coming in next..thats gonna be interesting ! How does this compare to other AMG C63's here ? has anyone else seen a higher figure ?,powerchip australia has been doing some wonderfuls things for us for these AMG's.We will be sponsoring the forum shortly and sharing our work with the forums.

That's $124k US! For a C63!

I thought they got screwed in Europe, that's criminal what they're doing to you.

So for best performance in the long run is it best to wait until the car has a lot of miles?

It looks that theres an extra 10kw's/13.4hp in it once they get round 20000km mark, though most of the gain was after the powerchip 41kw's/55hp,which is a real healthy gain.If you watch the link with the dyno screen, you can see that the power gain is right across the board .

Regarding your more mileage more power theory.... I think there might be some truth there. I feel my car has gotten a bit more powerful as the mileage increases. The second gear acceleration feels faster than before.

The exhaust has also gotten quite a bit louder...this I'm sure of because it didn't sound this crazy when I first took delivery.

I wonder if they program some sort of protocols into the engine management so that it slowly lets out more power as the engine/gearbox/drivetrain get broken in. Wouldn't it be funny if we started out with 457hp and end up with 500hp after breaking 30,000km? Okay, that's an extreme but I'm sure the power delivery is much improved the more you drive. I usually think a car is not properly broken in unless it passes the 14,000km mark.

No way around the warranty issue unless you find a friendly dealer
As for the product, no we write all our own Bosch ME9 (AMG) software in house on our own cars and do not distribute the tuning software. Our code is more of a private thing than a commercial venture....its good to have total control rather than a canned 'one size fits all' solution

I thought i would add this to this thread,

We had the pleasure of tuning another C63 using the powerchip Australia calibration. This one made more then the last one we tuned, making a strong 316rwkw / 424HP at the wheels, felt very strong on the road, with effortless performance and sharp throttle response, doesnt take long to reach 0 - 100km/h,needles to say this C63 defantly needs a quaife lsd centre, which will be fitting shortly,i have attached the dyno sheet below and the dyno run,if you study the dyno sheet you will see its making power right from the word go making it power right thru the rev range.

http://www.youtube.com/user/sonnymad

Heres the dyno sheet below

So would you recommend not doing any tunes until the engine gets a good amount of miles? Or will it end up the same in the end?
