Track Day @ Shannonville.
Thanks to Glen at Fastlaps for organizing a great day at Shannonville. A special thanks to PCV for arranging the invite for me and being instrumental in getting me back on a track again. My last track day was carting at Goodwood several decades ago. This was Much different!!
I had an amazing time pushing the C63 to its limits and learning just what it was capable of. Everyone talks about how fast these cars are. What amazed me was just how well it stops. Especially from higher speeds. I was hard on the brakes all day and didn't notice any appreciable fade and they never let me down. Hooked again.....
Thank again PCV
Nick: I checked Calabogie Motorsport Park's website. Looks like a fantastic facility. Can't wait.

Good show Barry, putting this car on the track needs to appreaciated as these cars arent just daily drivers, if you trackthis car you will quickly learn how well this car does treat a track. Did you get any pics or videos, how did your tires hold up?

Tires held up pretty well. Some shaving on the fronts, mainly the front left . Even wear on the rears. Down about 25-30% Ran P-Zeros: 245.40.18F and 265.35.18R 34 lbs all around. Very neutral.
oops, here is the clip...

Yes, I was very impressed with the C63's grip in the wet with new Pirelli P Zero's. I just could not keep up with Barry on a damp track in my 135i. He just slowly pulled further and further away as each lap passed.....although I think most of his gains come from the long back straight.
Here is video clip of me trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to keep up with Barry's C63. You can hear me talking to my wife's cousin about how fast/how much grip the C63 has.....hahaha.
Here is a pic of Barry's car from the track day:

Nice videos and looks like a great track session.
Barry, are those tire pressures cold?
I'm in complete agreement that the brakes on these cars are awesome. They shed speed in a hurry and have never show any signs of fading in my track days. I do tend to burn through a bit more tire than what you seemed to, but I'm sure part of that is the Texas heat (air temp around 100 and track temp of about 120 last time out)
