i just back to the dealer to do my 1st oil change, they did 5w-40 to my C63, they say because the 0w40 will make the oil senor light on easy....that why all C63 AMG will change 0w-40 to 5W40 from now on, i was locate in Vancouver Canada!!!

Both weights are still acceptable as per AMG.
They recommend 0w40 but it tends to consume oil quite easily hence switching to 5w40.
I think you guys are splitting atoms here. The only difference between the two is oil consumption.

Dealer's in Socal are still using 0-40w. If a change to 5-40 is recommended why not go to Catrol 5-50. Same cold viscosity with a higher hot viscosity. BTW all oils synthetic or non-synthetic are designed to work with each other. A quart of the wrong type of oil added between changes is not going to hurt anything.
