2009 C63 AMG
Any of you proud C63 owners have your car setup with a chrome package?
The dealer I purchased my from had it installed. It has chrome in the door handles and around the headlights. Above the door trim and a few other places. I also got it tinted from them as well. It was their showroom car thats why it was done.
Anyone else?

Also IMO, looks better than the whole stealth electrical tape looking blackout trim. Thats about as trendy right now as trucker hats and popped collars.
There's a reason why MB puts chrome and not cheap looking electrical tape wrapping on the badges, grill, etc.

After reading through this thread, all I can say is, Are you happy? If so, display your chrome with pride. It's your money, I do agree that it might be a bit over the top but hey, you drive it not anyone else. Enjoy!

Oh, i forgot to update my profile. It's been a while. I switched to a 2005 BMW 545i. Sorry but I dont own a 2003 CLK55 amg with 70K miles anymore. Maybe someone else does.

It's just that the chrome is overdoing it. It honestly does not look nice. It's your car, your money, you being laughed at when people's pointing at your car. Not mine.

AMG lounge has it right. VIN numbers for access. It would get rid of 90% of these morons.
I just asked if anyone had the chrome. You guys with your blacked out cars with a big chrome grills act like its against the rules.
My 63 is Iridium silver. I thought it had the taillights done but it doesnt, it has the trim on the headlights and door handles. In my opinion it looks good. I didn’t put it on, it came with it. The chrome around the handles im on the fence about but around the headlights it looks good. Its not over the top as most of you clowns are acting like it is. Its subtle and in my opinion looks good.
Never insult another mans car. Words to live by. You can disagree but never insult. You guys insulted and provoked, you got what you deserved. The anonymity of the internet doesn’t give you the right to act like A-holes.
Edit: By the way its chrome, not gold on the C63. But THAT you like. LOL.

Personnaly not a big chrome fan but if you like it that is all that matters. I know many who don't like the CF parts on my car but I could care less because I do like it.

I like the CF parts in some areas. The entire hood turns me off. To much of anything is bad in most cases.

I’ve never been a fan of chrome and wouldn’t do it myself but I can’t see what the fuss is all about. That doesn’t look too bad, especially with the Iridium. It’s definitely not worth arguing over. It’s the orange reflector thing on the guard that looks far worse in my opinion. Colour code it and the car should look good.
