Friday at the Track
Some pics from my most recent "matriculations" around the track at Summit Point Raceway in WVa. An open event which included 3 Ferraris, a tricked out 750 bhp Viper (behind me, see pic), a GT-R (nice), 3rd Gen RX-7s and the usual assortment of 911s and BMWs. I was the only MB. 125 mph on the pit straight.........

Thanks for the pics, it looks like a fun day. Did you get the opportunity to compare the C63's performance up against some of those other weapons?

I've tracked my RX-7 a number of times, and quite frankly it took me a while to get use to the brakes and acceleration of the Beast. Got it down pretty good by the afternoon. There was nothing stock or with 4 doors that was quicker. I had to "let by" the Viper and a some modified M3s in my run group. The Viper had top end and BMWs were all over me in turns. I could pull a gap on the pit straight, but let had to let them by. Due to track spacing, I never got a good look at the 911 boys. The Ferrraris were in the other run group, so I could not compare----but they looked fast and sounded great.
Finally, the car is a real paddock favorite. Car guys understand.

It is so good to see some members actually track their cars and put them to good use. There arent many here from what I gathered so far, especially the members who have the PP and dont track their cars at all...very very lame.

We are having a track day at Summit Point on September 9th. Lots of track time and a good mix of cars, F430's, ariel atom, Z06's, vipers etc. I will have my C63 out as well. PM me if interested and I will email you the flyer for the event.
