So I took the car in today for the oil leak, they said that its leaking from the right front oil cooler. Manufacturer defect?? Who knows, the maintenence guy said this is the first time he's ever seen this. So maybe the tick tick tick in my other thread is associated with this problem. Anyway I'll keep u guys posted if anything else interesting pops up.

unless you are substantially low on oil, the two should not be related.

I doubt it, since the tick has been reported by dozens of people in a variety of mercs. Mine did go away with mileage though and it sounds benign anyways, just got used to it.
