Foam Air Filters?

Who makes foam air filters and not cotton ones that have any type of oil?

Thanks.

Don't think you want foam but you may want the oiled cotton filters like the ones (for the C63 AMG) made by BMC or K&N. I had an oiled foam, ITG air filter for my BMW 335i, and subsequently switched to the oiled cotton BMC filter which was much better, imho.

speaking to Kory at Kleeman..he mentioned the oil ones can potentially mess up the mass air sensors..that foam would be the best bet..that's why I am asking.

How are your BMC Filters? Good/Bad?

Very good; I had one in my BMW 335i...excellent quality, and may provide just a bit more airflow than the K&N air filters; also the fitment is usually perfect with BMC. When I replace my oem paper filters, I will be ordering a set of the BMC drop-in air filters.

.
What is the deal with ITG filters? I had one in my GTI and the heat caused the oil to become "gunky" and very sticky. It would be nice if AFE made a dry panel filter.

I had green filters on my slk55, they were awesome just had to wash and dry and reoil every 10000 miles. it felt like i had a hugh power jump and the sound was great.
