It is not difficult.
First, it should not be difficult to remove elements above the grid.
Grid itself is removed by pushing it's bottom toward radiator. Bumper has 4 or 6 pins ~ 1 inch long, which by shape is little bit similar to fish hooks.
If the grid does not go in, use some small screwdriver to bend them through small holes these hooks go in.
If you have any other questions, like removing ashtray, central console, removing speedometer in c63, ask. I have experience to install Beltronics STi-R Remote.
Last advice. Before removing grid, remove console going to the top middle of the grid, which screwed by 2 nuts. It is not necessarily, but I broke mine when tryied to remove that grid and it did not want to go.
After disassembling it several times I cut these pins by 60% for easy going next time
Use a small mirror to find pins
