Exclamation Few C63 Questions on Parts, Maintenance and EVOSPORT!

New to this forum and saying hello from Sydney, Australia!
About to order a brand new Obsidian Black C63 from a dealer just on the outskirts of Sydney CBD in a weeks time. I'm looking very forward and excited to turning her on but I need to ask a few questions and would love it any help.

1. Most cars have some notorious problem with them, is there any particular problem that has often surfaced with W204 C63 AMGs?

2. The rotors on a C63 AMG: how often do these need to get change - every second brake pad change?

3. I can see on the home page that there a few Sponsors/Vendors around, but which are the most popular ones for buying maintenance parts AND which are the most popular ones for buying aftermarket modifications for the C63?

4. Evosport Performance Package 1 that includes ECU chip and power pulleys. Say I order this to Sydney, can any Mercedes-Benz specialist install this? Essentially, what I'm asking is if this evosport1 package is plug-and-play or bolt-on performance modification?

Anyone?

I'm sure there is someone who can quickly help me - considering I'm getting a C63AMG in a weeks time!

There is never a determine set of maintenance for any rotor on any car in the world. I can drive 1000000000000 miles and hardly use the brakes or I can drive hard and stop and accelerate and stop and wear out the rotors fast.

It depends on your driving style. You might be subjective to whorp the rotors if they are too hot and you drive lets say thorugh a water puddle. You might have a defective capiler pistoin and wear the rotor uneven,, you really never know. I have seen rotors cracking with low miles with abusive driving, sometimes they can handle the extra heat

There are many variables about wearing the rotors. Because the rotors are cross drilled/slotted I don't think you can resurface them .

As far is the pulleys, any Mercedes dealer should be able to do them. Just my .2c

Hmm, thanks for the input.

You're right about the rotor wear, but essentially would one advise to change rotors after each second brake pad change? I'm not asking exactly when to change them in accordance to miles, but when to change them on the basis of absolute necessity?

If any Mercedes dealer can install the pulleys, what about the evosport ECU? How do you peeps over in the States get your evosport ECUs installed? Do you have to send your ECU to evosport?

about evosports ecu...they use Powerchip...im fairly certain, not 100%, that you can find a shop that can tune it for you out there; if you MUST have evosport's, then you would have to send them your ECU

So generally even you peeps the in the States, send your ECUs to evosports? There is an Evosports dealer in Australia, I'm assuming they'd be able to do it?
