I have 4 or 5 of their DVDs but they are in German. They are pretty cool to have and touch base on some history which many on this forum need or should learn.

Interesting.
However, aside from the "warm and fuzzy" feeling you get from having one guy assembly the engine, there is really no benefit to doing so. They say nothing beats instinct and that hands feel better? Thats just not quite right. With a fairly standard motor like the AMG V8, there is really no reason it could not be machine assembled. In fact, machine assembled motors tend to be far more consistent in terms of power and oil consumption.
Furthermore, I was glad to see the semi-stressed oil pan, because two bolt mains and a shallow skirt block were not what i was expecting.
