new setup tires

i know theres a bunch of winter tire threads but i have a different question. im ording my dunlop sp winter sport 3d's today 235/40/18 on all of the stock rims and got quoted $265 a tire from a local tire shop (mounting included) i went on tirerack and found these for $199 each. how much would it cost usually to go somewhere and mount them because essentially im paying $250 extra for this guy to mount them and i feel like thats too much although i dont really know how much it costs to mount tires

Do not forget the shipping, sometimes its like $30 per tire to ship them to you. If you take in shipping and tax and original tire cost your tire dealer should match the pice that TireRack offers at least.

i get mine from tirerack as well. about $50 for shipping, for 4 tires, and $80-100 for mount.i go this route because i like to pick what tires i put on my car. most shops around here want to sell you what they have on hand, which most of the time is garbage.

i got them from tirerack for 840 with shipping and they had a promotion for a 50 dollar rebate so really it was 790 for all four. now i just need to mount + balance them which will be about 30 dollars a wheel.
