Dyno in Houston area?
Anybody know a good dyno shop in Houston (preferrably in the Galleria/Memorial/Sugarland area) that might have some experience with C63s or AMG cars?

The guys over at Motorwerks use someone near 59 and the Beltway. Give them a call I am sure they will get you the contact info.

While were not in the area you asked about, our facility has a dynojet 224x chassis dyno, were in NW houston. We have on site wideband readings and OBDII realtime scanning options as well with our dyno.
Feel free to have a look at our site www.powerfabauto.com and give us a buzz if you'd like to come take a tour.

There's going to be an event all of today at a shop. $35 for three pulls on a dyno and all you can drink beer and all you can eat bbq. Here's a link with further info http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...d.php?t=549324
I'll be there in my c32. I want to get an idea how much hp I have stock so I have a basis of what my mods have done. You should definitely stop by. They will be doing the dynos from 3pm until every one has had their turn on the dyno.

They are no longer in buisness.
Below is a shot of our shop, our dynojet 224x chassis dyno is availible to anyone if ya'll need to get your numbers. Like i said, wideband and OBDII realtime logging also availible. Much more useable data can be acquired that way.
Just had a supercharged M3 on last week. Through the OBDII logging we were able to see his ignition timing wasn't following the advertised mail tune he'd been given with the supercharger kit. As well as the fact his IAT's were a little high for the boost level so some additional cooling work was needed. Good knowledge to have, even better when it's plotted on your dyno readouts in real time!
We need to update our gallery with the projects we've been doing, just never have time to stop wrenching/tuning and actually mess with the website. What we do have in our gallery can be seen at the link below.

Motowerks uses England Green. Just off Old Spanish Trail and 288 in the medical center district. They have an awesome new shop with a Dyno-Dynamics Dyno. They can run either ineritia "Dyno Jet" mode or load control for tuning.

that being said, dynojets can do load tuning as well, all it takes is the eddy current unit being affixed to the drum.
same goes for mustang dyno's, sweep or load cell (if equipped with an eddy current unit).

the dyno-dynamics dyno's are essentially 4 eddy current load cells (assuming a 4wd capable unit) with hubs. the "dynojet mode" you reffer to is a sweep test mode with a fixed load. then the load is the eddy cell resistance.
that being said, dynojets can do load tuning as well, all it takes is the eddy current unit being affixed to the drum.
same goes for mustang dyno's, sweep or load cell (if equipped with an eddy current unit).

England Greens has is an in ground two wheel drive unit. When it was purchased and installed they had the manufacturer work with them on a calibration that would mimic a dyno jet. I've had the sweep pull done there and it is a different animal than thier DJ mode.
The whole DJ mode came about from customer demand. They want to see DJ #'s. The calibration reads within a couple of hp of a DJ pull.
BTW, EG is having an open house party on Dec 5th, if anyone is in Houston come on by.

Cool beans, i know we've had alot of fun building the twin rear mount setup on that white C6 in the shop photo. up to 567rwhp through the A6 trans so far, going for bigger injectors and over 600whp through the stock LS2 next month, should be fun for an unassuming looking ragtop!

Guys - I'm pretty sure I'm coming down on December 12th for some onsite tuning! Anyone down for some before and after flashes on the dyno??
See you soon, Tom!

www.enginelogics.com has an AWD Dyno Dynamics capable of 2400 HP in all wheel drive mode and 1800 HP in rear wheel drive mode. The owner is straight forward and no BS.
