Weird Knocking noise from back of engine
The noise only occurs at low RPMs (< 2000rpm) and is very audible inside the cabin. At first I thought it was the transmission, since the noise seemed to come from underneath the center console area. Changing to reverse, neutral etc though does nothing to eliminate/change the sound so transmission can pretty much be ruled out.
Im also pretty sure its not lifter/camshaft noise, as you cant hear the noise inside the engine bay (its weird though cause you can "feel" the knocking if you touch the engine bay frame).
The only thing I can think of is something inside the torque converter is not right causing some sort of knocking engine side.
Other than the noise the car is running fine, havent noticed any side effects since the noise started.
I took a recording of the noise inside the cabin, you can download the audio file below...have to turn the volume up pretty high to hear it though.

Anyone have anything similar or any ideas?
why what does that mean?
also, forgot to add in original post that that the noise does not start until the car warms up (2-5 min)
