Jason your effective offsets are a bit lower then Matts, the .5 inch difference in your rim width = + 12.5 MM of effective offset. That's why yours stick out a bit more.

The RE11's are a meaty tire, the Sidewalls are fairly squared.

Adding offset makes the wheel sink in more.

His outside lip should stick out a bit more than mine but looks like it is sunk in more.

You can have positive or negative offsets. The Negative offset will push the hub in towards the center of the car (thus concavity / deep lips). Positive offsets will move the hub of the wheel further out toward the fender.

Yes 0 offset is a mount point in the center of the wheel.

We're strictly talking about where the outside lip of the wheel is situated with the mounting point as a constant.

Did you click the link I provided? olszowa12's 8" 30mm offset wheel outside lip will be stick out 3.7mm more than my 8.5" 40mm.

Take these things with a grain of salt, every car / tire / rim setup is different. If I were to listen to that calculator, there would be no way I can run my setup

FYI - Just lowered my car using H&R SS Coil Overs. Lowered 1.5 Inch front and 1.25 Inch Rear.

Fellas Im pleased to confirm no rubbing! ET 30 on a 8.5 Rim 225/35/19 upfront! No Rolling on any fenders! The rear is 19 x 9.5 ET 44 Offset. 255/30/19

Sorry for the rainy pics, its horrible today in Toronto. I literally just got back from the shop with the car. Will have full car pic's up soon.

As you can see its super flush. Extremely aggressive in person!

Yes!

Those calculators do not take into account tire brand and side wall profiles.

Also not all cars / wheels are made the same.

Jasonoff I think you're wheels a bit more aggressive than what you are saying.

Two more pics for comparison. This setup rubbed like hell.
Dropped on H&R coils to the lowest setup.

8.5x19 ET28 with 225/35/19

Maybe you should re-read my posts? I was specifically talking about the position of the outside edge of the rim. The mounting point, rim width, and offset are all constants, doesn't matter who makes it.

That's what I'm starting to think now. I will pull one off and measure it.

Stock widths on the rear, 10 MM smaller on the front. I actually prefer the feel for a lighter wheel due to less contact area on the front.

Thanks!

I hear yah bud, I will more then likely switch out the rears to a 265 next time around.

Take a look at this review by Chris Harris.

Contrary to belief, narrower tires (upfront) can actually benefit in the handling department. Not saying we are going to go out and run skinnies on these cars. But 10MM less on the front is no big deal really.

This is one of the sweetest c63's I've ever seen. Where did you get your center caps that fit the sc5's?

Kriston, the car looks insane with the new HRE. Props for making it fits w/o rubbing, I'm impressed.

You make me want to slap on my HRE now.

Jasonoff, keep us posted on the real offset of your front wheels. They do look more aggressive than 19x8.5 +40. Forgestar doesn't stamp their wheels?

Kriston what brand tires are you running, if I do decide to pull the trigger on some wheels, I am running your setup to a "T". I will probably run springs instead of coils and different wheels of course, but calculations are spot on imho!

Yokohama Advan Sports.

They wear fast, but they are sticky as heck. In-fact They are stickier then the PSS' in dry weather conditions IMHO.
