C63 Long tubes headers **coming soon**

Well I think its a good time to spill the beans on the latest MBH motorsports product release. MBH, the Mercedes R&D division of Dyno-Comp is in the final testing stages of our long tube headers for the C63. I cant really say much, but it looks like we are set to release them before the end of the month.

Preliminary price estimates look to be around the area of our E55/CLS55 LT headers. So.. Around the $3500 area. I'm going to do my best to have the best header available, at the best price.

After a few revisions with our computer aided design. We think we found a winner. If all goes as planed I should have some Dyno-Dynamics dyno runs available. Along with pictures, and all that good stuff. In the next week.

without saying to much about our headers. You can expect to see the same quality and craftsmanship in our new 63 header that is seen in our 55 series headers.

Not to mention. We will be offering our horsepower guarantee as soon as the product is officially released.

Are you Richard Garcia? if not, is Richard Garcia involved in the development?. Also, are you guys looking for a guinea pig?, I am fairly close and been customer of dyno-comp in the past. Please let me know.

Thanks!

Sweet!!! More LT options for us. I'm getting ready for headers and LTs at this price point might just push me over the edge.

Mike,

Roughly, what horsepower estimates are we looking at?

Can't say for sure, but I would think you might need a K2 tune as that is what they pair with their manifolds & cats.

sneak peak

this is just a rough, unfinished, prototype. Sorry about the delays, I want to make sure everything is perfect before I put this to market. I think These will be the only header for the C63 that is using 2 inch runners. Until I officially release them here is a quick sneak peak.

If I were to purchase these where could I get them installed in LA area?

Also, would they work well with Kleemann ECU?

And lastly can someone link me to review/experience thread regarding MBH's headers for other vehicles?

this pic is just a rough prototype. It is very far from a finished project. It will be a Tri-Y design in the end. When others choose to use 1 7/8 inch pipe. I'm going with 2 inch runners to make sure there is no bottle necking. Other features will include a computer aided design, Tri-Y true firing order, 321 and 304 stainless steel.

After crunching the engine specs... bore, stroke, Lift @ 50 thousands. 2 inch pipe was called for. Any smaller in runner size would be inadequate.

All of my headers are made by a former Indy Car (IRL) fabricator and to the highest standards. We even take the time to clean up the inside of the header flanges so the welds dont disturb the flow dynamics.

This will simply be the most researched AMG header available on the aftermarket.

Will you offer a high-flow cat option with the header package?

James@ACGSD (forum Sponsor) might be able to help you out in the SoCal area.

It should work fine with the K2 tune. I've confirmed it with Cory. You just need to let him know if you'll be running cats or no cats, and if cats--high flow or non.

Now, what kind of cats will MBH be offering with these headers? Brand and cpi?

Get the K2 flash. Talk to Corey about it.

(Opps-didn't scroll down far enough to see avengerboarter's response before answering).

LOL.....I know who you are referring to.

I like the "shorty" option. Should be cheaper to install and you can add high-flow cats later on. That is going to be a tight fit against the aprons.

There is not a lot of room, but I'm using as much as I can.

Power numbers? Or do we have to wait until they are released?

Its interesting that you chose 2" runners. I was reading the ls7 z06 1 7/8"
headers pulled not only more torque but more horsepower as well when compared to 2" runners. If 2" is too big 7.0, then 2" would be too big for the 6.2 correct?

What other long tubes are on the market?
Evosport ~ $5995(are there independent test results out there?)
MHP ~ $4500(proven results)
MBH ~ $3500?(awaiting results)
Anyone else?
