Teleaid vs. Mbrace

I just tried to send a google maps address to my car using the teleaid function, and it no longer works. Looks like its only working for mbrace customers now.

I called mbrace and my car is not eligible until Nov 16th of 2010?

I guess mbrace has some cooler features than teleaid? Even an iphone app?

A little foresight would have been nice.

This is indeed very annoying. They should let TeleAid subscribers switch to mBrace or at least keep Google maps sending option functional on TeleAid. Now my TeleAid is a useless feature without Google maps receiving capability.

I guess Teleaid and mbrace are third party contracts that MB has and are not related to each other. So I guess they have to fulfill those obligations. Not sure.

So our Teleaid is now, not as advertised or promised when we signed up.

That's right it's a legal contract issue. And MB owners get the shaft. Hopefully at least we will have a Teleaid renewal option for the period from when we bought the car (me in May 2009) to when we can get MBrace (in November 2010) Otherwise we won't have either until November 2010.

Sounds like perfect formula for a class action suit against MBUSA. If part of the incentive to buy a MB was the Teleaid service and now it's not performing as advertised and may not even exist soon.......
