Possible Scam?

http://www.robinhoodrally.com/

hey guys, ive gotten a few email about this and didnt think much about it until the gokarting track near me sent me an email saying they were one of the sponsors. It sounds like an amazing event but im not sure if its real. Just google it and youll see what i mean. tons of forums are talking about it and are questioning its validity for reasons such as: $400k worth of prizes for a short segment show, guys never being heard of, nor prior footage of this event, NBC never agreeing to air this, etc...

Im just interested in what people have to say from those of you who are more experienced and familiar than I with these types of events. Just let me know your thoughts because if this is real, then id apply.

Thanks again guys.

I have received two postcards in the mail from them. $5,000 "application fee" is lame. In a better economy, this would be a great revenue generator for the promoter!
