has anyone asked or had the warranty cover the newer ipod cable/istall that works with the 3g iphones?

my older cable didn't work with Ipod touch, so i had it changed on the warranty to the newer version and now its working fine. i don't know if its the same one that works with 3g

black cable white adapter is the old one that doesnt work with newer gen ipods touches 3g iphones. im just using one of those passport adapters for the time being until I get back to the shop for my B service and I'll see if they will change it out for me. otherwise the adapter works fine.

They replaced mine with the black end cable and it doesn't work with my 3GS.

i have the passport thing but it doesnt work well with my Otter box case. the case wants to push the connector up and it doesnt make a good connection. PLUS the connection isnt real "sturdy" without the case. just seems super cheap....
