I know the weather still sucks here, but keep us posted on your thoughts as you put some miles on your car. Nice talking with you last night.

I'm sure you'll break it in nicely. Wish we had more than 20 miles of straight road here in Oahu

I just got my K1 tune back, and haven't dyno'd but am impressed. In sport mode auto, i hit the rev limiter in 1st gear...first that that has happened (at least where I wasn't shifting). This happened while I was running against a crotch rocket...greatest thing in the world was he could hear me, but he couldn't see me because I was keeping right next to him ...he kept flipping his head around both sides of the bike trying to find me. We hit 3 digits and I let off..but I had pulled a length on him from where I started, and I felt the car much strong top end...it pulled pretty hard for sure...I was impressed

We'll see what the dyno says this pm.

i was able to test the tune out some this weekend. i put a lot of highway miles on it, but i could definitely tell a difference. the first time i floored it in 3rd gear, the speedo climbed a lot faster than before. and i could feel myself get pulled back more than i used to. pretty awesome. i'll be doing more testing in the future. i've raced a friends e46 m3 stock and i could beat it fairly easily, but he's one of few cars i've raced when i was stock. so maybe i can see how much more i can beat him by.

i've also got an out of town friend with a stock E55 that i also raced when stock, and now i can't wait to race again to see how i do

Bluejae...that is a drivetrain calculation...easiest way is to take your stock numbers and divide by like .82 or .80, depending on how much drivetrain lost you expect.

It is hard to get an exact number, since dynos are different as well.

But I got 370whp and divided by .82 (18% drivetrain loss) and got 451bhp...recommend using a number that gets you to 451 from your first go (so 352.5 would use 22% drivetrain loss which would give you 452bhp...take 352.5 and divide by .78).

Then, take that number for your afters: 387.5whp (based on your 35whp increase you noted), and that gives you 387.5/.78 = 496.8bhp...NOT BAD!

thanks, i figured there wouldn't be exact numbers, but nice to know something close.

would i stick with the 22% drive train loss as long as i'm on the same dyno?
