No stealer visit needed don't worrie about it. If u want u can go to autozone and they will scan it for u. Should be MAF Or u could wait 100-200 miles with a couple turn on's and offs and it will go away.

+1

Just wait till the ECU adapts and the ECU will automatically reset the ECU after 18 on/offs.

Supposedly it codes out as a lean air mixture or something like that....I've had mine out a while and never popped a CEL...

Most likely u didn't get the seals on the airboxs sealed right and it's got a leak.
Or, the intake covers are not snug. Pulling the charcoal filters will not cause a cel and driving it so the ecu will adapt is a bad suggestion.

The seals were fine. Screws were tight. Very easy to do. It definitely was the charcoals.

This has to be something with the C63 specific ECU tune. I've never heard of popping CELs on any other 63. Weird...

i just remove charcoal filter and install k&n filters couple hrs ago....and drove it for almost 20kms....no cel pop out, but i did found out that it take some effort to put the airfilter into driver side intake box! Also have u guys notice that factory but some silicone to glue the filter to the box (not sure for the passanger side....but driver side for sure)?

There are SOME stock E63's in the high 11's and really low 12's and trapping 3-4 miles higher than stock C63's. Or at least thats what i read, and actually saw on Dragtimes, etc. But im sure its close, especially in real life racing, I myself would love to run a E63 with my C63, you never know what might happen

I have the AMG performance pack which limits the top speed to 174 they mustve tuned the ECU too. I pulled my friends e63 (charcoals removed).

When i removed my charcoal no cel. I bet the ecu noticed that the filters werent there. They probably do this for emission purposes.

I've had my charcoals removed since the day I got my car with 9 miles. Currently have 1300, and never had a CEL. Weird that a handful of guys had this problem after there removal.

Maybe its because mine is a 09 c63 or my car is delimited to 174?
