C63 with P31
I think it's just a personal taste on the red calipers. I for one don't think it looks too bad. I cannot speak for the previous P-package, but this one is tastefully done. As for the using the internals from the SLS, it was probably more of a cost justifying thing that anything, b/c you are right you could get that 31hp from just an ECU tune. I do think that the LSD should have been a part of this package and not just a stand alone option, especially at $2k. I do however like the fact that this 31hp gets you 0-120 1.2 seconds faster than the standard C63. Would be interesting to see a P31 car and a normal C63 do a run side by side up to 120mph.

Red is amazing on a Ferrari or Porsche but makes the C class look like it's trying to hard to move up a notch or two into the $100K car mark. Plus, when they get all chipped up from wear and tear, they look like someone painted them in their garage with a brush...
I have always considerd the change they did with the pistons and how the ECU is so much easier and possibility cost effective for them. I don't know how much of a real difference the forged pistons would make. I would like to know...
I have a few questions:
1) Does the exhaust sound any different from the 'std' C63?
2) If you have driven both 'std' and the P31, did the P31 feel noticeably 'seat of the pants' faster?
Like others on the board, I'm not too much a fan of the red calipers, though they might look better on a white, red or black car versus the metallic paints.

I have the P30 pkg in my car and the sport suspension is awesome plus the car is a bit lower than a non-P30 car. I use my car as a daily driver and the ride is firm, but far from harsh....

--It did not sound any different than other C63's we have here.

--I have not had a chance to drive this one, but the new owner formerly ran in the Rolex series, so he is going to take me for a ride once he breaks it in. We are also going to schedule a track day for some of us to turn some laps in it.

--No the dash is not wrapped in leather. However, there is alcantara on the steering wheel.

By the way, the leather wrapped dashboard is a seperate option, listed as "designo leather", and its rather expensive.
