Post Tacho signal ?

Hi guys ,

Just got a new Shift lift for my benz.
As for the wires , I need positive/ground ( shouldnt be too hard to find ) and tacho signal.

I thought I could find the tacho behind the instrument cluster but theres plenty wires down there.

Anyone knows which wire I should tap in ?

Thanks for your help.

Drive safely.

Why do you need a shift light and where are you going to install it?

I used to race in gentleman drivers events and one of "my one day race" showed me his shift light in the SL63.

He had it taped on the steering wheel , right in front of his eyes.

I know C63 has some kind of shift light for gear up but you can't see the rpm going up while having eyes on the road. With the shift light , the lights goes on as the rpm goes up.

I could also be aware of the rpm going high just by listening that monster V8 screaming like hell

Have you seen the whole instrument cluster turn red?? Certainly a sign that it's time to shift!!

I think if the red instrument cluster glowed brighter it would be much more useful. When you have your eyes on the road, I don't think the current brightness grabs your attention enough.
