Resonator direction?

Resonator direction?
Hey guys,
I'm putting my stock resonator back in and removing the x-pipe except one problem....I forgot the orientation.
Does the serial AMG inscription stamp face down or up?
There's one side with mini-perforations like on the end of a gun and the other side has about a 1inch diameter cross-tube that connects, which side is closest the the front of the car?
I should've marked it before removing.

Found it using one of Josh's side-by-side exhaust shots. For the record, the narrow side is closer to the front with the AMG inscription facing the ground.
Anyone know if they have to remove the ground terminal on the battery before doing any welding? They did it last time because they were worried about some electrical shorting issues. Is it necessary?
