Kleeman K1 Dyno Results

After flash, I ran to 175 before revving out, so it had more time to pull.
Not sure why it is higher in 5th...but it was appreciable after K1 Tune...wish I could actually have a chance to test that real world...132 is my best so far.

^^ Good question. I think it is the dyno itself. I don't think your C63 torque is that low in real life. If you take the car to another dyno it would help, also the drag strip trap speed should also tell the history. Best of luck though!

Right, I used 18% which seems reasonable...although, that was STD smoothing 4...using SAE smoothing 5, my numbers drop by about 15whp, so it would be closer to 23% drivetrain loss...interesting all this dyno stuff...like Avenger said, Delta is the only true measure...everything else is completely subjective.

The gear ratios for the C63 are as follows:
First Gear Ratio (:1) 4.38
Second Gear Ratio (:1) 2.86
Third Gear Ratio (:1) 1.92
Fourth Gear Ratio (:1) 1.37
Fifth Gear Ratio (:1) 1.00
Sixth Gear Ratio (:1) 0.82
Reverse Ratio (:1) 3.42/2.23
Final Drive Axle Ratio (:1) 2.65
All of my pulls in 5th gear were much higher than 4th.

"Dyno in 4th, no dyno in 5th, always dyno in 1:1 gear"
I always dyno in both for now.

Perhaps Corey didn't realize that 5th is 1:1?

yeah, but if you dyno in 5th before a tune that lifts the 155mph limit, you are going to run right into it, and not get the full HP number...tq will still be ok.
Perhaps that is why...5th gear maxes at 175, and that is a good way to tell if your tune worked..mine clearly hit governer at 155mph the first go around, and glided to 175mph after K1

Excellent Point! You may need to use 4th to compare a stock car to avoid hitting the limiter. The comment that it was more accurate is probably not the case. So after you've removed it, I'd use 5th to get a more accurate comparison.

If you want to know how much you've gained compared to stock, a 4th-gear pull would be more accurate since the highest gear you can accurately dyno in is 4th (for stock). If you want to know how much your car is putting out (max power and stock), then 5th gear pulls would give you better #'s than 4th due to the 1:1 ratio.

I think we're all agreeing on the same thing. Not to split hairs but in my thinking, 4th gear would not be more *accurate* it would just make it *possible* to get a full run At least that's the way I see it.
In any case, the point is well made by all that to compare to stock, a 4th gear run is required and to get more accurate output #'s, 5th gear is your best option as it's 1:1.
Nice #'s on the dyno, btw Hopefully, your new tune will keep your car safe as well. I think we're all waiting to see how much of a loss you may take with the corrected AFR's.
