Does Anyone Else Have Scratches on the Side of the Front Doors?

Did a search on this and did not find any results..

I have a black car and was cleaning it last week prior to the TopGunRun and noticed on the side of my door a bunch of small scratches.

They are very small but certainly noticeable (since the primer is white) if you are at eye level looking at the side of the doors.

The scratches are angled up and towards each of the door handles and are obviously caused by rocks being slung up from the large front tires and small fenders.

Does anyone else have scratches?

I’m very disappointed that MB has not addressed this since it could easily be fixed by making the front fender a bit larger.

Also if I had known I would have put a clear bra on the side of the front doors like I did on the front bumper.

I tried taking a picture but could not get the detail I need from my camera so I attached a pic (not my car) showing the general vicinity of the scratches on the doors for a reference.

Suggestions or feedback welcome…

I have small rock chips at the rear fenders, I'm going to try to get some clear 3m shield to put on before it gets any worse.

i don't have any scratched but i have a small part of the paint that is not smooth. there is like a 1-2mm chip in the paint. it's not from rock chips because it's embedding in the paint.

I get them more in the rear quarters near the fender from rocks, especially after going to the track.

If you ever had a set of wide tires its going to happen... My last e class i had 20" hre with a 285 in the rear and the bottom edge look sand blasted after 40k .. My best suggestion is to get a custom clear bra behind the front wheels and behind the rear wheels
