Again, they did a great job with the tuning of the sound. Not as "deep" as the 63, but I guess the turbos have to mute it a bit.

I thought it was not going to sound that good, it actually sounds great, not far off from what I am used to hearing in our motors...keep in mind that this is the S class, our C and SL cars always sound louder for some reason...maybe I wont lose sleep afterall, I was in panic mode when they introduced this 5.5TT as I thought the introduction of two turbos would add too much of a swoosh sound or that awful back pressure sound as in alot of turbo cars, a good example is the Nissan GTR, it sounds like *****. Thank you AMG for making this next gen motor sound good!! Not as deep as ours but pretty damn close, it actually has a bit of a higher pitched racy sound.

Barry, all is good now in my house, my wife noticed me immediately as I was sporting a smile....now I am not freaking out about when the lease in this car is over, I was saving all my pennies and eating Kraft dinner the last 4 weeks as I thought the only way I can get the 6.2 motor in my next car is buying an SLS...LOL

I drove an STi for several years, and I don't miss the turbo lag. I'm sure it will be better in the 5.5, but don't know if it will have the same torque curve. I like being able to lope around at under 2K rpm in town. More than happy with the 6.3, reminds me of the big block Chevelles and 442s.

Sorry guys, seems like they blocked the link due to membership reasons, I became a member with my vin#, dont know why the canadians cant register as I am canadian and have been registered for some time and receive they're monthly news letter?
