Thanks, man...appreciate the comment. It doesn't bother me...I was just ribbing Hans a bit...I'm sure he and many others understand. Just like most of my peers and I completely and utterly thank everybody for all the support.

When I was deployed last time, my unit received about 8-10 care packages per DAY! Unbelieveable...and all with stuff we needed so bad (toiletries, phone cards, etc.). Guys like me can afford that stuff, so we always made sure the younger guys got it...but it was AWESOME that there was so much love and support from afar. Thanks again!!

miami, you got me... and it was deserved. I apologize to you as my post was written in haste. I'm sorry I allowed my distaste for what's happening in California & Washington DC to lead to a mini-rant on the C63 forum! Our military is the strongest, smartest and most technologically advanced in the world.... Thank you! I HOPE expanded government programs do not CHANGE that. I am fortunate to be born in a country that has outstanding military, police & firefighters (serving a sometimes ungrateful and ignorant public)

Nah, man, no worries ...figured you were taking a pot-shot at the recent reform initiatives set forth by said administration.

Anyway, most of us do this for the right reasons...calling, love of our country, etc...the bennies are nice for sure--I'd argue they have to be to keep some people doing this--there's gotta be SOME trade-off. Others, like me, will take our good wage and job security, and do something foolish like buy a C63

Appreciate the support. Believe me, we are the strongest nation by far, and can win any war...but we can do that only because we have a people who, even in the face of ignorant or seemingly selfish politicians (which, I think seemingly is VERY relevant and accurate across the board...), can still appreciate the good ***-whippin the US can lay down
