can someone tell me what is the biggest lip i can put on c63 with 20" rims?

3.5 is very generous on the C63 -

i have a 2.5 inch lip and so far the widest Ive heard is 3 for some manufaturers

I have 20" Forgiato Martinellos (20x8.5 front and 20x10 in rear) and my paperwork shows a 3" lip on the front and a 5.5" lip on the back.

Need to do a photoshoot. But My HRE's have around a 2.5 - 3 inch lip in the back and maybe a 1.5 inch in the front. Maybe you can see from the pics I got below.

thats going to be really tough to find - with most rims your going to see 3 inch max in the rear because of the offset. I think Overbudget may have a much wider lip but youd have to check with him what offset and style hes running. It might be particular to that specific style.

20x10 HRE’s on mine with a 2inch lip.

A bigger lip would be possible.

You would need the centre to ‘turn in’ dramatically after it clears the callipers and also utilise a thinner base plate to achieve it if you wish the offsets to allow clearance for stock fenders. Thin base plates can also compromise the integrity of the rim.

I’m also a big fan of wide lip ‘deep dish’ rims, it’s my old school way of thinking.

I did a lot of searching and unfortunately MB didn’t have ‘deep dish’ in mind when designing this setup.

The photo is how it looks in the real world but it is only 2inch and not anywhere near as wide as what you’re after or what I would have preferred.

Though the photo does give a good indication of what you are up against in relation to hardware constraints when searching for something wider.

hey can sombady tell me how come the im faster of the line if im raceing cls55 or cl55 but my friend have a e55 of the line is faster bc i have no traction but if we r douing 50mph and up im ok even if im twice of size him lol is that also count

Goni it's simple. e55,cls55 you keep traction control on and just give it gas and good buy c63. Cls55 and cl55 I don't know how they race, if they have traction off it will slow them down bc they spin. Ask them next time and u get your answer. The over 50mph part is that alot of 55's have BAD supercharged pumps. Now what that does is once you do couple races the supercharger shuts off. Meto has a cm30 pump that does not shut off and no it does not add power it just don't shut off the supercharger.

lol no i nead to stay a way from raceing now bc i have no more license so i will go for nice rims 20" so keep me not to drive fast,but i race 5-6 cls55 and 2e55 last night comen from city on turnpike that was it not bad but i was in front of him you know but e55amggg04 runs that car good or maybe cause he is smaller than me or i will let you race my car with him so let se if is any dif... you know or maybe e55 amg vs c63 both stock they r faster of the line i dont know.

Don't worrie G I got someone for u, his stock but the think is that YOU have to come to the track bc ppl don't street race that much, we like to keep out lisences. Lol. Anyway it's not long you will get it back.
