Just found out I have 3 cracked rims!!!
I see many local places in Southern California that can do repairs in one day. I read that the wheel can fracture again with a slight impact. This is the first problem I have with the wheel in 23,000 miles. The wheels were standard on the vehicle when I purchased it new.
Are there other wheels like Mandrus that would work better with these low profiles wheels?
I think I would like to stick the 18 inch size. Are you recommending the alloy wheel because it will handle the potholes better than the AMG?

Go to the 6speed board and read the thread on some Kinesis wheels that had been welded to repair them:

This could have been a catastrophic failure at freeway speed.
