yesterday at my daughters 2 year B-day I showed all the guys and some of the gals my new ride.

95's the lowest we have over here. That's what people put in their 1.6 astras. All turbocharged cars and overall more powerful cars that gain something by fueling purer stuff use either 98 or 99+.
But yeah, 95's the lowest...
On the other hand we pay approx 6.5 $ a gallon (1.40 €/l x 4) for the 98.

i just got out of a walmart, was driving in C mode and was at a red light, a guy in a vw pulls up to the right of me in a right turn only lane and i happen to look over and see him waving his hands to roll my window down... so i did
him: is that your car?
me: ... (slight pause not knowing what to say)
him: the loud one...
me: (nod my head yes)
him: could you pleeeease rev it up, i've never heard a mercedes sound like that
me: (with a smile, i put it in neutral and rev it once to about 6-7k rpm)
him: i think i'm in love (then takes his turn right with a car or 2 sitting behind him)
me: (thinking to myself, i sure hope he was talking about the car)
note, i didn't realize i didn't say a single word until after he had left...
him: is that your car?
me: ... (slight pause not knowing what to say)
