The guy posts pictures of his car and in every reply there is a doubt or a knock along with a "nice car but..."...first its that he doesnt have them. Then its established he does. Then its that he only has them because of daddys money. Leave well enough alone and move on...judging by your "everyone gets the short end of the stick in some way" youre trying to justify a little pent up jealousy too.
How about "nice cars dude!" without looking for the lie or the fault or the hole in the guys life? Geez.
Alright alright off my soapbox, just annoying seeing people trying to bring others down...over the internet especially.
Cheers.

The brushed aluminium with polished lips sounds good. Mine are silver powder coated centres with polished lips. I powder coat all my centres as I believe it helps with the long-term cleaning.
The 20x9.5 should not be a problem, if the offset is right. You’ve got a ˝ inch less than I did to worry about.
Do you know the offset?
The car in the photo from Wheels Boutique would have had the rear fender lips rolled as a minimum to get a drop that low. And as Even Money has pointed out, the larger rolling diameter on 285/30/20’s would have caused big problems at the rear, the 285/25/20 is a far better bet.
I'm bias and think they are a nice rim, I hope it works out well for you.
I agree they are awesome and also a big seller over here.
The comfort of a 2 door sedan (the SS is the performance model and the V in the Commodore model code signifies the luxury variant) with plenty of room in the rear for items plus they are light and quick. Here there are also lots of performance and visual mods available plus a good range of just bolt-on supercharger and twin turbo kits on the market to choose from.
It must have hurt when you sold your ’69 SS Camaro. I’ve always had problems selling cars as the sentimental value holds me tight and still have some of my old stuff from years back in storage.

2014 C63 AMG 507 sedan
Dear AMG community,
I am not afraid of saying that I drive a 2009 KIA Optima SX as DD and abuse my 09 C63 on the weekends. It is a pleasure to own such a car and it has always been on my wish list. I wished I could also afford a E92 M3 that I had before I sold it for the C63.
I really love exotic cars and only looking at them or listen to their sound is fascinating! I am not jealous at all and nobody has to proof what they got.
In my opinion, money can't make you happy, it can only make it a little bit easier. At the end of the day, it only matters who loves you and supports you in difficult times.
Enjoy your cars and have a safe time!
Best regards

My C63 is my DD, track car, people carrier, and weekend fun car.
I strive to one day have enough funds to carry an impressive stable like a few that were posted before.
As well, I don't know why people care where anyone got their money from. Last time I checked, this was an AMG forum, not a money/wealth forum.

Nah...my DD is my parent's old '96 190e that they had since new. It has become my retro AMG project. I have found AMG Gen 1 side skirts and rear valence. Still looking for the front spoiler. It sits on staggered 17" AMG Monos (a little modern by about 8 yrs but had hard time finding Aero 1s and I don't like Pentas).
^^Khmer: well said.

I live in Hawaii and gave up the whole SUV thing for the C63 and it is my daily driver. I am in the Army and would not have bought one had it not been for the USAA incentive program that took a big chunk out of the price. Damn good choice!
My wife is a Physician and she drives a Bike. Seriously, she is totally happy riding a bike everywhere!
BTW, Simon, you need to rock an American muscle car, or maybe a rat rod, to round out your rightous collection.

2001 Acura Integra GS!! Gets great gas mileage and handles the potholes and rock chips from all the construction I encounter heading to work and back (50 mile round trip). I refuse to put my C through all that abuse....not to mention it's the grocery getter and I can't imagine putting all that mileage on her

DD = C63 Performance package
Weekend Toy = 2009 Ferrari F-430 Scuderia
Had a 2009 E90 M3 DCT but it was sold to get the C63 and no regrets whatsoever. The merc is a better car in almost every way!
Rock On!

Get the SLS! The California is nice car wise, but the electronics just don't compare to the SLS console. I guess we can all agree that electronics has always been a weak point for Italian super cars in general.

I know it’s an old thread but I thought I’d give it a ‘kick start’ to see what other rides C63 owners have.
