Update on express window not working
About 5 months ago I posted my front passenger window express feature was out. Regular up and down worked but when u ran it up it would "bump" back down about a quarter of an inch. Well I took it in today. The service tech stated it could have experienced a volt drain condition during the winter therefor erasing window memory.
What was the fix? The tech went to the front passenger switch and pushed and held the down button then after several seconds she repeated this but in the up position. She did this three or four times then she tried the express up on both the passenger and driver switch. Bingo. Fixed!
Just thought I'd pass this tip on. She said she sees it on cars that sit for a few weeks in the winter.

She said that is when they typically see it occur but any neg electrical drain can cause it she said. I'm not sure what tha means but .... Maybe this will save someone some time from taking their car in to the shop. Sounds more like an electrical glitch to me but I'm no expert

Synchronizing door windows
The door windows must be synchronized if
they cannot be fully closed (express
operation).
Each door window must be synchronized
separately.
X Close all doors.
X Switch on the ignition.
X Pull and hold switch :, ;, = or ?
(Y page 98) until the respective door
window is closed.
The door window opens again slightly.
X Pull and hold the respective switch once
more immediately until the door window is
closed completely.
X Hold the respective switch for
approximately 1 second.
The door window is synchronized.

That is common on all cars with auto windows...when battery is disconnected (or drained), you must pull and hold the auto up for a few seconds, then repeat down...My Subaru and Altima/Pathfinder all did the same thing after unplugging the battery.
