On my sub 1.6 60 ft I use the bias ply MT/ET street in a 26x11.5.
On a radial it is not too much softer than a street tire , so yeah you should rock it year round.. That will keep the car aggressive, it will only get faster and faster and faster still as you log miles.
Congrats on your PB mang.

Is your car equipped with LSD? If so, do you think it's needed to get the best launches out of the car?

I think he has the quaife lsd, which I'm having installed this Sat. I don't see how you can go to the strip without it. Besides having trouble launching the car without a LSD, you'd probably spin the tires into 2nd and 3rd...

yes I have a Quaife LSD, you don't need it but it does make life easy at the track and you don't have to worrie about spinning or breaking something or 1 wheel peal. LSD is a must in this car. Originally Posted by Boost Gomez

Congrats...some very nice times.
Can you fit 17s? Good choice in tires sizes for 17"?
I think a lot of the chevy guys shave the real calipers to fit 15s. Better tire selection and traction in a 15"?
Keep rolling along and getting faster. Well done!

If the tire diameters are close you can probably run your 18" or 19" on the front. Run whatever is lightest.

Forgeline can make 17" for the rear. You can even see a little wrinkle in the wall on this launch. I am sure with some better weather you'll be knocking on the top spot. I am a little worried right now. Need to come to MIR and run up there. You have done a great job with your car!! Once again, CONGRATS!!
Congrats!!!
I dont know how I missed this thread. Car sounded great and was fun hanging out at the track. Too bad I didn't get any runs in. Would have been nice to go sub 10.5 and break that record, oh well

MIR is my local track, i am about 25 mins from there. how often do you guys go there? i would love to meet up with you guys sometime and see and hear your cars in person.

What about CCW? Yup, MIR is such a great track. Track prep was incredible. Come fall/winter it is deifnitely record breaking conditions.Originally Posted by Dads C63
