The sport or track-calibrated suspension was eliminated, no longer an option.

Thanks dsr, is P30 still an available option for 2010?

Nope, p31 replaced it.

A lot of Auto reviewers, including dedicated enthusiasts, wrote that the p30 was too stiff and MB responded by eliminating it. Oddly, and reportedly by mistake, early USA 2009s with P30 had the LSD and brakes of the p30 but not the suspension. And p31 replaced p30 in nov 2009 so there are some 2010s with p30.

AFAIK, the 30+ hp is coming from software changes not the forged internals. So get a tune and you can make 40-50hp+ and the speed delimiter instead and save a ton of money or get LSD.

THE P30 is too stiff but i love it when I hit a corner and it turns like it's on rails and I love the LSD.

Had the P30 and agree that it is indeed a little on the stiff side for daily use. It would have made for a great sport setting on an adjustable supsension.

What does the Mbrace cost and how does it affect the ride/handling?

The MBrace option was something like $650 and has a monthly fee (~$30/mo?).

It has no impact on ride/handling. (It's MB's equivalent of OnStar).

They don't offer the suspension as a standalone option unfortunately

96 and 08 911 turbos
Forged pistons are typically heavier than the standard hypereutectic pistons, which will likely be balanced out by the Ti rods. However, that will be basically a wash, and I doubt you'll see significant power gains here.

The forged internals are by far overkill in a little 11:1 compression motor. unless you want to run this thing on the ragged edge NA (and even then you can melt a forged piston) or run spray/boost, forged internals will just be parking lot bragging rights.

as for the rest of the stuff, thats up to you.

The forged SLS pistons were thinner and slightly lighter than stock.

+1, P31 replaced 30 about December 2009 for all cars built after December 1, 2009 it was an option for P31!! I've driven both the P31 and the P30 (both cars stock) and the difference IS noticeable!!
