Of course it will. O2 sensors are needed pre and post primary cat.

 

Done it in a department store fitting room? Yes....er....wait a minute....Oh sorry, wrong thread...Yes, I have a friend who has removed cats and mufflers and CEL has been on. Cannot rid code and is afriad to take it in.

 

I think the tune will need to be modified to get rid of the codes and MIL. The error codes in the tune will need to be changed to "Non Emissions" and the MIL Enablers to "No Mil" to get rid of the MIL light on the dash.

The dealer cannot likely do that (not sure on that. They will also need to be mod friendly because the car is no longer legal and they will know it at warranty and inspection time). An aftermarket tune will likely be required.

 

I have removed all 4 cats As long as you get the O2 adapter for the back sensors no code will come on (1200 mile) so far and no codes... Now you wont pass emisions and you car will be loud as he^^ lol Good luck
