Any chance you could post the VIN of a random W207 or W212 European car? I think I might have a source here in the States but I need the VIN of a car that the console was designed to fit for ordering purposes.

Ok, I found a source in the States who will have this leather console in your living room for $409 plus whatever it costs to ship it to you from the US. I'm thinking about $30 or so?

If this is the case that is great news. Guys, if HBC350 has found the console in US it would seem cheaper than what I can get so please let me know if you want to get the console through his supplier vs. me getting it here in Europe.

Guys, finally got some standard postal rates for shipping of the consoles to the US. They are as follows:

1. Priority post - delivery 2 weeks - insured up to max value of $70.00 - $32.93
2. Standard post - delivery 3 weeks - not insured - $18.84

So these rates are much better. Here is the English website for Czech post with respect to shipping fees. US is country code 57 or 7 depending on shipping insured or non-insured. There are 20.8 Kc = $1 USD. http://www.cpost.cz/en/sluzby/baliky...arcel-id26833/

I have found them to be very good on shipping. I have attached the PDF rate sheet which you will need to increase the size of when launched as the text is very small. Let me know if this works for you guys.

Understand but at these rates I guess it is to be expected. Just as FYI, this is registered parcel so they will track etc. Let me know if this is go, no-go for you on the console as I will be placing confirmed orders for the guys by weeks end to allow everyone sometime to respond.

OK, so for $32 they'll ship it to me here in the States and the unit costs what again? $230? That sounds like a deal to me. Better than I can do here.

Sorry, just looked back at your earlier posts. $280 unless we can get the VAT deleted, plus shipping. Still better than I can do here so far. I still have one cheaper source that might pan out for me but that's a 50/50 shot right now and probably only for me and not volume. The $440 option is a volume deal so anyone can get in on it.

I will be travelling for business until Friday of this week. I will be placing orders on Monday of next week so I will be closing this little "project" out by Friday of this week. If you want to move forward, then PM me. I already have some confirmations by PM and above on the thread. I will post here the confirmed orders for members who want to move forward and then place order on Monday with MB. Although I think I could get one through a USA dealer if I had the VIN of a European car on which this particular console is standard equipment, I don't have that. Therefore, Dave, I'm in. And thanks for doing this. My right arm owes you.

Ok, for giggles I went by the MB dealer today to look at E class cars. All of the 2010 sedans had far different consoles than our C63's. Not even remotely similar. All of the E coupes had the stitched leather consoles, but without the sliding panel over the cupholders like the one Dave has posted about here. Is there an option on the E sedans that gives them the different consoles and maybe some E sedans don't have that option?

What'd the dealer think of you coming in and buying a dozen consoles? You're out of your mind?

I was thinking of having you send me a dozen and making a little money on the installs over here in So Cal. I've got to believe a lot of folks would want that upgrade if given easy access.

The service manager thinks we are all nuts as he actually likes the US spec console better than Euro version. He knows what to expect as in the past I placed order for 5 ROTW airbox sets at one time for friends back in the US before the console thing. They are actually a very cool dealership without all the snob-crap I have seen at dealerships in the US I dealt with. The dealership has a full-blown cafe and restaurant in the dealership - don't see that too often in the US. Hmm, you've got me thinking. Let's see how easy the install is and I might take you up on that. Again, I appreciate you doing this for all of us. If only MB would just sell the Euro stuff at the dealer like BMW does we'd all be happy.
