you think that is bad. When I first started the group buy for the consoles, MB wanted to charge us for the two smaller pieces that I said I will be putting into the boxes. Now hold on here...they wanted...
$64.00 for PN#204 680 7607 - which is the roller cover - Pic attached
I argued that they should include the roll cover as this would constitute a complete console. They finally relented and have included the cover and another part for price of base console. MB is out of control at times with their OEM prices

Do the parts you're sending include the rubber pad below the roll top? If not, can you please get us a part number for what we need to order? It doesn't look like the one from our US cars will fit into the new console because of a difference in shape.

So the rubber pad at the bottom of the storage compartment and the one under the drink holder can both be swapped from old console to new?

I will post pics of console and parts before shipping so you can see how the console is put together. I did not get rubber for the bottom of the drink area but swapped out from my old console the rubber section from under the arm rest area and put into the new console. Will post pics of US and Euro spec consoles and parts with install pics so that everyone can see how this is put together.

I had to order them to complete console. The pics I posted were of unit with parts ready for install which included console and required parts. I did not mention the extra parts as I had already got MB agreement to include the parts with console for same price.

Nothing. As FYI, when you load the cup holder piece into the bay it makes for very tight grip on anything from regular Coke bottle to Starbuck med size drink. The cup holder is spring loaded so it hold very well. I have no slipping at all so see no need for rubber bottom. I have punched from a dead stop and thrown the car through some pretty tights corners with drinks in the holders and no movement nor spillage at all, which is more than I can say for the OEM unit.

Pic #3 - snap on other top cover which covers and locks into place the roller cover
Pic #4 - for those of you who asked about bottom of drink bay, the bottom is without rubber. If you want the rubber part for the bottom I will see what cost is from MB
Pic #5 - completed console with roller top closed
Pic #6 - completed console back in box ready for shipment
As I posted I will put the two other parts into console box with the center console which means each of you will get one box with everything in it. I can assemble the console complete as in PIC #5 if you want for shipping, but also am concerned that these are your parts for those of you who have paid. This is your property and I respect this fact. I would be more than happy to assemble prior to shipping, but if you want me to do this, then please PM or post that is ok for me to do so. Otherwise I will simply put the loose parts into console box for shipping.
Hope this clears up everything as per previous posts. Shipping happens tomorrow (see pic in next post) and will send postal confirmations by email to each of you. Let me know if you have any questions.

No they were not over-nighted. Please go bcak and read the thread. Over-night by Fed-Ex/DHL/TNT from Europe to the US would have costs around $250.00 and this made no sense as we all agreed. The shipping option which was included in the price was by registered post with delivery of 2-3 weeks.
