WILL 285/35/18 TOYO T1R FIT??
Im goin nuts trying to figure out what type of tires to put on the c63
, i wanna go as wide as possible front and rear. (btw i still have the stock 18's) I know most guys are goin with 275/245, BUT....Ive seen 275/35/18 toyos and they look skinny so i was wondering if it would be possible to fit 285/255 T1R's? My original plan was to go with the Continental extreme contact 275/245. the thing with the continentals are that most people say they look "balloon like" in apperance. Can i actually get away with the 285/255 toyos? Or should i stick with the continentals?
If any one has pics of 275 continentals mounted on their c63 i would love to see it. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

According to the manufacturer, a 285 T1R requires a minimum wheel width of 9.5" That being said you probably would not want to mount them on stock rims but if you did you would want a 285/30 not 285/35

thanks for the input guys. Ok..so im scrapping the 285 idea and just sticking with 275's. So you guys think i should go with the continentals or another tire brand? I was looking into the Nitto invos, any input on those tires? Im welcome to any suggestions you guys might have.

Had the Invos in 265/18" on 9" wide aftermakret rims my EVO X before I got rid of the car for the C63. The Invos are kinda soft for the track and would get greasy fast but for the street, they are great. Very quiet and soft riding. I don't track the C63 so when it is time to change tires, the Invos would be on top of my list. Before that I had Nitto NT-01 semi-slicks in 275/18" on the same 9" rims but even within specs of the tire manufacture, the outside shoulders rolled too much if you corner aggressively. The bottom line is that a wide tire can look good on a narrow rim but if there's no enough metal in the rim to support the tire, you end up wearing out the tire very fast. I also wanted to put at least 275's on the C63's factory rims but held off in doing so for this reason. I don't want to change the OEM rims out as I think these are one of the most beautiful OEM rims out there.

I'm sorry I lost track of this thread and thus didn't reply until now. The NT-01 and the Invos couldn't be more different. On a 1 to 5 noise and ride scale with 1 being noisest and roughest, the Invo is a 5 and the NT-01 is a 1. As a reference, Michlin PS2 is about a 4/4, stock tire on the C63's P0 is also a 4/3, Kumho R6 slicks are 2/2. Don't go with the NT-01 unless you plan on tracking the car once a month at least.
