IS THIS NORMAL???

My c63 idles a bit rough, especially after it warms up, there is a bit of a vibration when stopped. My tech told me that the c63's come with racing cams which explains the rough idle, i just wanted a second opinion from you guys. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

All I know is that the C63 definitely doesn't come with "racing" cams. They've actually been proven to be a notably weak spot in our engines.

It should not be very noticeable. You should have them check the cam position sensor, and maybe your engine and tranny mounts just in case.

I have the same deal, I posted awhile back and everyone said it was normal to have some vibrations at idle. Even the dealership said because of a 6.2l motor you will experience some vibrations at idle. Its not a whole lot but none the less you can feel it.

Just curious as of why the cams are the "weak spot" of our engines?

i think maybe the racing exhuast and intake cam overlapping time open a little bit longer at the same time then there is a weak spot....that is another reason why there is a charcoal filter as well....to avoid fuel evap blow back to the environment (from the open valves back to intake)!

Pls correct me if i am wrong!
