Just came back from the dealership, car had 1016 miles on the odometer and had my oil changed. I also dropped in a pair of k&n filters, car feels great. I would recommend the 1000 mile oil change to anyone.

I tried twice already and the service advisor told me to hold on to the oil change. I am now at 8000 miles and haven't change the oil yet. The service advisor insist that I should wait until the 10000-12000 mile mark.

Its really not mandatory to change your oil the first 1000 miles. You can change it at 10,000 miles too, I just did it because i wanted to get the "break in" oil out. After the first 1000 mile oil change i was advised to change mine every 10,000 miles.
